We have a new member: HRJ.

Please make her feel welcome, and I hope she breaks the ice by telling us a little about herself.

Come on in and pull up a chair. Don't mind the glitter. Mara hasn't swept yet.

Hi all! I found out about this forum over on Absolute Write and you folks sounded like a better fit for my interests (and available forum time).

I've been writing lesbian-related fantasy and historic fiction for a couple of decades now. And while I'm lucky enough to have a supportive circle of writerly friends, I sometimes feel out of the loop regarding the lesbian literary world. My published work is primarily a series of short stories that feature a FF couple in the Sword and Sorceress anthology series, but I have an alt-history/fantasy/romance novel just off making the rounds at the moment. One of my deep interests is researching historic motifs that can be used to create lesbian-like (to use Judith Bennett's term) characters that both resonate with their historic settings and are fun/interesting/sympathetic for modern readers.

I expect to spend some time exploring around the forum for a while to get the lay of the land, so I may pop up on a few stale threads if I see something interesting.

If you got into the MZB anthos, you're definitely doing something right! That's always been a hard market to crack.
