rofl At least England don't have far to go home.

Yeah. that was terrific. The only time you'll ever get Kiwis cheering for Aussies is when they play England.

So, England have set some records: First ex-cup holders to crash out in the pool matches, and first hosts not to make it to the quarter finals. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

We are now spared all the English whining and moaning and bitching about the haka: because there's no chance they're gonig to have to face it! hahahahahahahahaha

And didn't Japan do well against Samoa? Crikey, Eddie Jones must be one happy chappy.

We watched the full England v Australia match last night--with English commentators. OMFG it was funny. At the start it was all "England are terrific and ready to crush the Wallabies at Fortress Twickenham". Over the course of the game, they changed tune, of course, to how unlucky plucky old England were when up against the brutish might of the uncouth Colonials. lol

I know I shouldn't enjoy this so much, but the English have been such arrogant dicks about their team in their tournament. That "Hakarena" video by ex-England captain Matt Dawson isn't looking quite so funny to the English now, is it? Actually, it's a pity the English didn't do this on field: the Wallabies might've died laughing at them and England could've won a game.

So, a repeat of the last final at the quarter finals ;-)? France didn't play particularly well against Ireland.

Both men and women can be such asses, but men generally do it much better. That Hakarena proves it. rofl

Worse, Wild, it's a replay of the infamous 2007 quarter final that NZ lost! Much wailing and gnashing of teeth in this part of the world--DESPITE the ABs having beaten France in the 2011 final.

Oh. I missed that cup. NZ plays much better than the French team. Especially this team which completely failed to impress me.

Doesn't matter: we're biting our nails and full of doom and gloom. I know, it's not terribly logical, but when it comes to anticipating rugby match outcomes, we're not English. ;-)

There has been a national fretting about the possibility that the match ref will be Wayne Barnes--who had a shockingly awful match in that fateful 2007 quarter final. Happily, it will be Nigel Owens. Nigel has had some classic moments, including this one refereeing a world cup match on a soccer ground. The Scottish player fell to the ground and was rolling around making a fuss. Nigel gave him some advice:

:snigger:

Oh, yeah, and Nigel plays for our team--when not refereeing. :-)

Well, that was in interesting morning's sport watching. The Boks vs Wales match was a tight one that the neutral spectators would've enjoyed far more than supporters.

As for the other quarterfinal... Wow. I believe that is what is called "going up a gear".
