I really recommend the latest movie with Helen Mirren: Woman in Gold

Maria Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family.

Absolutely! I saw a discussion about it. Sounds like a really well-done film.

Apparently the movie just came out in DVD, but there are no movie rental places around any more, so unless the library gets it (which is quite possible) I won't get to see it. (But the movie was actually playing locally until a couple of weeks ago, so it's my own fault.)

I don't like to watch movies on my computer, but I probably could buckle down and figure out what tech I'd need to get it to my TV (probably need a new TV.) However. the movie is apparently on TV now on a rent-on-demand basis, so I might explore that option.

Now this is a movie I don't want to miss: Suffragette. On movie theatres in October, featuring Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep and Helena Bonham Carter.

OH! MUST SEE. Meryl as Emmeline.

Please let us know what it's like when you've seen it.

Will do. You're assuming it will not be in the movie theaters there in NZ before Portugal. However that is not always the case.

I'm pretty sure the science geeks in this forum will like this movie. The Martian directed by Ridley Scott.
