Hey, it could be about wet dogs out on a wet afternoon and getting the carpet wet when they shake their wet fur after coming back inside!

Ok, who am I kidding...?? ;)

Or, one of them might have an album by "wet, wet, wet", which she accidentally held under a tap and got wet.

52. Invisible Monsters, by Chuck Palahniuk. Norton, 1999.

She's a fashion model who has everything: a boyfriend, a carer, a loyal best friend. But when a sudden freeway "accident" leaves her disfigured and incapable of speech, she goes from being the beatiful center of attention to being an invisible monster, so hideous that no one will acknowledge she exists. Enter Brandy Alexander, Queen Supreme, one operation away from becoming a real woman, who will teach her that reinventing yourself means erasing your past and making up something better. And that salvation hides in the last places you'll ever want to look. -- blurb from the book

I absolutely loved this book. It was crazy, disjointed, funny, and totally unpredictable. I think I have a new favorite author. :)

Maybe everyone's last post of the year should be their favorites. Then I'll have handy lists to pull from next year. Though I'm not planning to do a 50 book challenge. My right thumb hurts too much from holding books!

Get an e-reader! They really do solve that problem and there are some great buys right now. I'm getting A one for Christmas.
