Heads-up for all authors

Postby FranW » 11 Mar 2013, 09:01

There's a new pirate site selling your books -- cheaply, because neither you nor your publisher is getting paid.

http://www.fantasticebook.com/

I'd suggest sending them a take-down notice and, more importantly, asking your publisher(s) to do the same since it's their rights this lot is infringing. Yes, Baker, that means you!

(And if anyone is in contact with Georgia Beers, Karin Kallmaker, Radclyffe, etc, they are also being pirated, so pass the word on.)

They've got some big names up there. How can they have them and not get caught? How do you know they aren't paying the publishers?

And I'm not a Big Enough Name yet. I know I will be successful when my books are pirated. LOL

They send the books as email attachments? And takes five to twelve hours to arrive?

Given the typos in the FAQ page, I'd worry I'd spend the money and never get the book.
You can log in you account and you can see your order in your shopping cart, please tell us which books you have order, we will send the the books to you with 12 hrs

Karin Kallmaker, Radclyffe, L-J Baker. Yep, all the biggies. Company might be in Spain. .es on the url.

Simon and Schuster doesn't sell its new bestsellers for $1.50. BSB doesn't sell Rad books for $2.

And quite a number of authors have confirmed that their various publishers do not supply this site, and that it's a pirate site.

Me too, Paula. I sometimes feel left out. Then again, just as well.
