Saltwater Press, "a new online literary magazine".

Editor: Katie McClendon
Seeking: fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry
Genre: unstated
Theme: "works that illustrate the experience of underrepresented communities"
Length: to 2000 words
Payment: 4-the-luv

full info here: http://saltwaterpress.blogspot.com/p/su ... lines.html

The editor "currently teaches a weekly Memoir & Fiction class through the Bent Writing Institute, a writing school devoted to supporting LGBTQI writers while supporting anti-oppressive actions", so I'm guessing she'll welcome submissions from lesbian writers.

I find it a bit worrisome that they also advertise a paid editing service -- I see this as a conflict of interest, and it's not unknown for scams to be set up in which the acquiring editor responds to submissions by saying, "We can't accept this piece as it stands, but we'd love to take another look at it after you pay us to edit it".

Tingle Media

Editors: Scarlett
Seeking: serialised short stories
Genre: erotica
Theme: for women
Length: 2000 - 8000 words
Payment: Oh, boy. This is probably going to be the most expensive sale you'll ever make. See below.**

full info here: http://www.tinglemedia.com/index.php/he ... rAgreement

**They're sort of an agent, and sort of a publisher, and sort of a distributor. You send them your story. They may or may not accept it. If they do, they offer it to readers. You do (or pay for) editing. You provide any cover art. Readers download the story to their cell phones in 300 word bits. Tingle Media give you a portion of the sales proceeds. They also take 15% of any other sale you make, to any other publisher, for any other works, in any genre, in any format, for at least the next two years. Because, they say, they're giving you exposure (like any other publisher would) and getting your name out there (like any other publisher would) and so they deserve a share of anything good that might ever happen to you in future.

Basically, in return for giving them one of your stories that they'll sell for sixty-nine cents, they take 15% of your career earnings.

Holy fuck. This is worse than the worst, most godawful horrible terrible bad not-good contract that I've ever seen, ever, anywhere, ever, even in lesfic.
