Doing two hasn't been a real issue so far, it's actually nice because when I stumble a bit on one story, I just switch to the other. I'm away on a work retreat this weekend though and I'm not sure how much time (if any) I'll have to myself so I may have a nasty bit of word count to catch up on. :S

You rock.

Reality TV is one of those conflicting terms. Oxymoron? Like Military Intelligence.

Lol, had no choice this week. We were at a work retreat up in cottage country, 12 hour days talking about marketing isn't particularly conducive to maintaining a writing count but I actually managed it decently. I had to force myself to do it but I woke up two hours earlier than the others on both days and sat downstairs, wrapped in a ridiculously warm blankie (if there was one thing there I could have taken home, it would have been that blanket) and pounded out my word count.

Too bad I was already two days behind by then (I missed Thursday and Friday because of prep for the retreat). I managed to bring myself even on Novel A and I'm probably a day behind on Novel B. Not ideal since I like to have a bit of padding on my word count but beggars can't be choosers and it's mucho better than being a full four days behind on both. Go me. :cheer:

Sitting just over 35,000 words. Novel A has a good days worth of padding in terms of word count. Novel B is under by about 400 words as I practically fell asleep at the computer while I was writing. I'll make that up tonight and then I'm taking at least one day this weekend to pound out a good word count. Woo!

This week has been one cluster after another in terms of writing but I've finally pulled even.

The sequel to my first novel moved along just ducky, it's the fanfic that has me banging my head against the wall. I can't write romance. I love reading it but writing it is apparently beyond my ken.

lf I try for the 100K goal again next year, I think the two novels (or the one long one) will have to be a little more in line with my usual genre.
