NaNo Regions (on the NaNoWriMo website): If you haven't done this before, go to My NaNoWriMo tab (this is where you'll find a lot of stuff for and about you); on the left, under Edit Info, click on "My Regions". From there, click on the "All Regions" tab, and select your region(s). This puts your word counts into their group counts as well as gains you access to their section of the forums. That is where you can find local gatherings and, perhaps, a new friend or two!

Updating your novel wordcount and stuff: Go to that NaNoWriMo tab again. Under Edit Info, select "Novel Info". You can put in excerpts, the title, etc.

NaNoWriMo website user #: see that number in your URL? The one after the /user/ ? That's your site ID number, you member number, whatever they call that. It's not private information. If you want to use some of the widgets and stuff, you'll need that number. http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/37629/ = ME!

NaNoWriMo forums: They are a vast source of information, perhaps too much. We won't even attempt to duplicate it here. But if you ever find a useful thread or post, feel free to put in the Linkages thread here! There's no LGBTetc section under genres however there is a thread or two under "Other". http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/3700704 It is huge and long and easy to go unnoticed. Hence our space here. If you happen to meet any lesbian writers, feel free to point them to here.

As for THIS site, update your information however you wish. If you choose to use widgets (I've not looked at them yet), be sure to keep in mind that this forum uses phpBB as the source code. If you don't know what that means, let me know and I'll check it out for you. When/if I find any decent sized, I'll post the information in the Linkages thread.

Have I missed anything? Everyone ready? (asks she who still hasn't narrowed down the basics, like genre and plot)
Take a deep breath and count to zen.
