2010 Garza--Border War

Postby Garza » 05 Nov 2010, 04:25

Hmmm, I'm rather new here (less than a day), but I'll go ahead and post my NaNo stuffs here...

Here's a one sentence blurb for it: "When the US declares war on Mexico in 2032, an American medical missionary wages her own war to save the woman she loves."

And no, I've never done this before! I figure, what's the worst thing that could happen? I have an epic fail in not hitting 50k and gain 15 lbs. in the process...

Word count = 6010

Welcome! You're off to a great start. My advice (which is worth exactly what you're paying for it) is to take it one scene at a time. The most important part is getting the story on paper, not hitting a daily word count..but that's good, too.

Hey Garza, welcome and congrats on the word count. :-) Good luck. You'll see we have a couple women doing the NaNo thing, I envy all of you, your drive.

Thanks for the helps! GrewGirl, yes, that whole one scene at a time thing is just what I'm doing. hehehe....unlike most of y'all here, I'm an outliner, so it really *is* one scene at at time.
Right now I'm taking to heart the phrase: "It's okay to suck" ....so I'm just letting things flow out on to the paper (er, pixels, rather) and not worrying about things.

How did your weekend go? Did you get your caffeine IV to keep you moving? :)

Mtn. Dew is my drink of choice while writing although I must ration it. My water to soda ratio is 2:1.

It is illegal in several states for me to drink caffeinated coffee.
